In this episode, hosts Paul and Tori explain why they go to Lisbon, Portugal each year and why it is so special to them. They give their top three favorite things to see and do in Lisbon, and even take you on a trip to a Ginjinha Sem Rival, for a cherry liquor called ginja..

Paul’s Top Three:

  • Avenida da Liberdade, a shady, tree-lined street with cafes and restaurants
  • Exploring Lisbon, its hills and stopping at scenic overlooks called miradouros
  • Eating all the amazing food at small neighborhood restaurants called tascas, especially bacalhau (salted cod)

Tori’s Top Three:

  • Lisbon’s calçadas (sidewalks with limestone mosaics) and azulejo-covered (ceramic tiles) buildings. Visit the Museau Nacional do Azulejo
  • Street art found all over the city, and especially in Graça where there are beautiful murals by international artists
  • Drinking in Lisbon, especially the beer Super Bock and the cocktail bar Cinco Lounge
